264 — Ishāq ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us: Jarīr narrated to us, from Mansūr, from Abū Hāshim, from Abū al-ʿĀliya—or someone else—who said: I was told that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Last night, two men came to me, took me between them, and led me away. They brought me past a man holding a hook, which he would insert into another man’s mouth and use to tear the corner of his mouth as far as his jaws. He would then return and take hold of it again. I asked, ‘Who is this?’ He replied, ‘These are those who go about tale-bearing.’”
