241 — Al-Hasan ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Jarawī narrated to us: ʿAlī ibn al-Hasan al-ʿAsqalānī narrated to me, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak, from Layth ibn Saʿd, who said: Yahyā ibn Sulaym ibn Zayd, a freedman of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), narrated to me that he heard Ismāʿīl ibn Bashīr, a freedman of the Banū Maghāla, say: I heard Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh and Abū Talha al-Ansārī (may Allah be pleased with them both) say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “No man forsakes a Muslim in a situation where his sanctity is violated and his honor disparaged without Allah forsaking him in a situation where he would wish for His support. And no man supports a Muslim in a situation where his honor is disparaged and his sanctity violated without Allah supporting him in a situation where he would wish for His support.” He said: ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar ibn ʿUtba ibn Shaddād also narrated it to me.
