240 — Abū Bilāl al-Ashʿarī narrated to us: Abū al-Munqidh al-Qurashī narrated to us, from a shaykh ⦗148⦘ from among the people of Basra, from Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever defends his brother’s honor in this world, Allah will send him an angel on the Day of Resurrection to protect him from the Fire.”
