239 — Abū Khaythama narrated to us: Jarīr narrated to us, from Layth, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Umm al-Dardāʾ, from Abū al-Dardāʾ—may Allah be pleased with him—that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever defends his brother’s honor in his absence, Allah has taken it upon Himself to defend that person’s honor on the Day of Resurrection.”
