Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ayyūb narrated to us. Ibrāhīm ibn Sa‘d narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishāq, from Wahb ibn Munabbih: “Dhu al-Qarnayn, peace be upon him, asked one of the nations, ‘Why do you speak with one voice and follow a straight path?’ They replied, ‘Because, from the beginning, we have neither deceived nor backbitten one another.’”
