185 — Ahmad ibn Jamīl narrated to us. Ibn al-Mubārak informed us. Sufyān informed us, from Ibn Abī Najīh, from Mujāhid: “Woe to every disparager and backbiter” [al-Humaza: 1]. He said, “The disparager is one who maligns people, while the backbiter is one who devours people’s flesh.”
