169 — Abd al-Rahmān ibn Sālih narrated to us: Hafs ibn Ghiyāth narrated to us, from al-Amash, from a man from among the people of Basra, from Abū Barza—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—delivered a sermon to us and said, “Do not seek out the Muslims’ lapses. Whoever seeks out the Muslims’ lapses, Allah will seek out his lapses until He disgraces him within his own home.”
