145 – Ahmad ibn Jamīl narrated to us: Abd Allah ibn al-Mubārak informed us: ⦗108⦘ al-Masūdī informed us: al-Amash narrated to us, on the authority of Mujāhid, who said: My patron, Abd Allah ibn al-Sāib, narrated to me, saying: “I was the Prophet’s partner in trade during the pre-Islamic period. When we arrived in Medina, he asked me, ‘Do you recognize me?’ I replied, ‘Yes. You were my partner—and what an excellent partner you were! You neither opposed me nor quarreled with me.’”
