140 – Hārūn ibn Ma‘rūf narrated to us: Anas ibn Iyād narrated to us, on the authority of Salama ibn Wardān, who said: Mālik ibn Aws ibn al-Hadathān—may Allah be pleased with him—related to me that he was with the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—when the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said: “It is assured! It is assured! It is assured!” His Companions asked, “What was that you said, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied: “Whoever abandons disputation while he is in the right will have a home built for him on the outskirts of Paradise; whoever abandons lying will have a home built for him on the outskirts of Paradise; and whoever possesses good character will have a home built for him on the outskirts of Paradise.”
