139 – Sa‘īd ibn Sulaymān al-Wāsitī narrated to us, on the authority of ‘Abbād ibn al-‘Awwām, on the authority of ⦗105⦘ ‘Abd Allah ibn Sa‘īd, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abū Hurayra—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said: “A servant does not attain the full reality of faith until he abandons disputation, even when he is in the right, and refrains from much speech for fear of lying.”
