138 – Al-Abbās ibn Ja‘far narrated to me: Hāshim ibn al-Walīd narrated to us. He said: I heard al-Fudayl ibn Iyād—may Allah have mercy on him—relate, on the authority of Hishām ibn Hassān, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Sīrīn, who said: “We used to be told that those with the most sins are the ones with the most leisure to speak of other people’s sins.”
