128 – And Alī ibn al-Husayn narrated to me, from Zayd ibn al-Hubāb, from Sālih ibn ⦗101⦘ Mūsā, from his father, who said: Al-Rabī ibn Khuthaym heard one man quarrelling with another, so he said: “Enough! Utter nothing but what is good, and say to your brother only what you would like to hear from someone else. A servant is answerable for every word he utters, and all of it is recorded against him: ‘Allah has kept account of it, while they have forgotten it’ [al-Mujādilah: 6].”
