102 — Al-ʿAbbās al-ʿAnbarī related to me: ʿAbd al-Rahmān ibn Mahdī related to us: Jarīr ibn Hāzim related to us, saying: I heard al-Hasan relate from Abū Hurayrah—may Allah be pleased with him—that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said, “A servant may utter a word, never imagining how far it will take him, and it will cast him forty years deep into the Fire.”
