60 – Suraij narrated to us; Rawh related; ʿAwn related, from al-Hasan, who said: “It has reached me that when Allah bestows a favor upon a people, He asks them for gratitude. If they thank Him, He is perfectly able to increase them; but if they are ungrateful, He is equally able to turn His blessing upon them into punishment.”
