54 – Suwayd ibn Saʿīd narrated to me; ʿAbd Allah ibn Yazīd al-Muqriʾ narrated, from Abū Maʿmar, from Bakr ibn ʿAbd Allah, tracing it back to the Prophet:
“Whoever is granted a blessing and that blessing is apparent upon him will be called the beloved of Allah, one who proclaims Allah’s favor. But whoever is granted a blessing and it is not apparent upon him will be called the detested of Allah, one who opposes Allah’s favor.”
