Al-ShukrIbn Abi al-Dunya

50 – Abu Khaythamah and Ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿīd both narrated to me; Rawḥ ibn ʿUbādah related to us; Shuʿbah from al-Faḍl ibn Faḍālah—a man of Qays—from Abū Rajāʾ al-ʿUṭāridī, who said:

“ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn once came out to us wearing a muṭarrif khazz (a striped cloak of brocade) that we had never seen on him before, nor did we see it again afterwards. He then said, ‘The Messenger of Allah said: “When Allah grants a servant a blessing, He loves to see the outward trace of that blessing upon His servant.”’”
