207 – Hamzah narrated to me; ʿAbdullah narrated to us; Hisham ibn Saʿd narrated to us; I heard Muhammad ibn Kaʿb say:
“Whenever Noah—peace be upon him—ate he would say, al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah); whenever he drank he would say, al-hamdu lillah; whenever he put on clothes he would say, al-hamdu lillah; and whenever he mounted his ride he would say, al-hamdu lillah. Because of this, Allah called him ‘a grateful servant.’”
