185 – Ismaʿil ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Zayd narrated to us; Hammad narrated to us; from Budayl ibn Maysarah, that Mutarrif used to say, “For me to be spared and then show gratitude is dearer to me than to be afflicted and then show patience.”
