Al-ShukrIbn Abi al-Dunya

167 – Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to me; ʿAli ibn Bahr narrated to us; Muhammad ibn al-Muʿalla al-Kufi narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn Khaythamah, from Abu Dawud, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Sakhbarah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, “Whoever is tried and remains patient, is granted something and gives thanks, is wronged and forgives, and then again offers thanks …” He then paused. They asked, “What awaits such a person, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied, “Those are the ones who shall have safety, and they are the rightly guided.”
