165 – Khalaf ibn Hishām narrated to us; al-Ḥakam ibn Sinān narrated to us, from Hawshab, from al-Ḥasan, who said:
“When Allah created Adam, He brought forth the inhabitants of Paradise from Adam’s right flank and the inhabitants of the Fire from his left flank. They then dispersed across the face of the earth—among them the blind, the deaf, and those afflicted with various trials. Adam asked, ‘My Lord, would You not make my offspring equal?’ Allah replied, ‘O Adam, I willed that I be thanked.’”
