164 – Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn and Khalaf ibn Tamīm narrated to us; Sallām ibn Sulaym narrated to us, from Muḥammad ibn al-Naḍr al-Ḥārithī, who said:
“It has reached me that Allah revealed to Moses: ‘O Moses, son of Imran, remain alert and choose close companions for yourself. Any companion who does not help you attain My good pleasure—do not keep his company, for he is your enemy and will harden your heart. And remember Me frequently, so that you become worthy of gratitude and receive ever-increasing bounty.’”
