Al-ShukrIbn Abi al-Dunya

163 – Khalaf ibn Hishām narrated to us; Khalid narrated, from Ḥuṣayn, from Mujāhid, who said:

Whenever Ibn ʿUmar was on a journey and dawn broke, he would raise his voice and proclaim:

“A praiser has heard the praise of Allah, His favor, and His gracious testing of us,” three times;

“O Allah, accompany us and bestow even more upon us,” three times;

“I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire,” three times;

“There is no might and no power except through Allah,” three times.
