156 – My father narrated to me; Ismāʿīl ibn ʿUlayyah related to us; Saʿīd al-Jurayrī reported, from Abū al-Ward ibn Thumāmah, from al-Lajlaj, from Muʿādh:

The Messenger of Allah passed by a man who was saying, “O Allah, I ask You for the complete perfection of blessing.” He said, “Son of Adam, do you know what the perfection of blessing is?” The man replied, “O Messenger of Allah, it is simply a supplication I make, hoping for good through it.” He answered, “Part of the perfection of blessing is deliverance from the Fire and admission into Paradise.”
