15 – ʿAbd al-Aʿlā ibn Ḥammād al-Narsī and Azhar ibn Marwān al-Raqāshī narrated to us; they said: Bishr ibn Manṣūr and Azhar al-Sulaymī narrated to us, from Zuhayr ibn Muḥammad, from Suhayl, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah, who said:

A man from the Anṣār, one of the people of Qubāʾ, invited the Prophet. The Messenger of Allah went with him, and when he had eaten and washed his hands he said:

“Praise be to Allah—who feeds yet is not fed; who has bestowed His favor upon us and thereby guided us, who has provided us with food and drink, and who has granted us every gracious blessing. Praise be to Allah: my Lord is never abandoned, never can He be recompensed, never is He denied His due, and no one can do without Him. Praise be to Allah who has given food to eat, drink to drink, clothing against nakedness, guidance after straying, sight after blindness, and who has preferred us above many of His creatures with a special favor. Praise be to Allah, Lord of all worlds.”
