152 – Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to me; Abu Jaʿfar narrated to me; he said: I heard Yahya ibn Sulayman report, from ʿAbd al-ʿAziz ibn Abi Rawwad, who said: “I noticed an ulcer on Muhammad ibn Wasiʿ. Sensing how troubled I was by it, he asked, ‘Do you realize what blessing Allah, Exalted is He, has granted me through this very ulcer?’ I remained silent. He then said, ‘It is that He did not place it on the pupil of my eye, nor on the tip of my tongue, nor on the end of my private part. Because of that, the ulcer has become insignificant to me.’”
