14 – Abu Muhammad ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Salih narrated to us; Abu Bakr ibn ʿAyyash narrated, from Abu Husayn, from Saʿd ibn Masʿud al-Thaqafi, who said: “Noah—peace be upon him—was called ‘a grateful servant’ only because he never put on a new garment, nor ate any food, without praising [Allah].”
