112 – Muhammad ibn Khidash narrated to me; Ashʿath ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Zubayd related; from Mujammiʿ al-Ansari; from a righteous man who said:

“Indeed, the favor of Allah found in what He has withheld from us of this world is a greater blessing than what He has spread out for us of it. That is because Allah did not approve the world for His Prophet; therefore, sharing in what He withheld from His Prophet is dearer to me than being involved in what He despised and was angered by.”
