110 – ʿAlī ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us; ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Salamah al-Mājishūn related to me; someone I consider reliable told me that Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq used to say in his supplication:
“I ask You for the complete perfection of blessing in every matter, and for gratitude to You for those blessings until You are pleased and after You are pleased. I ask You for the best choice in all situations where there is a choice, and that every one of my affairs be carried out through what is easy, not through what is difficult—O Most Generous.”
