106 – Sawwār ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn Masʿūd narrated to us; he said: Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad said:
“My father once lost a mule of his and declared, ‘If Allah restores it to me, I shall praise Him with praises that will please Him.’ It was not long before the mule was brought back, complete with its saddle and bridle. He mounted it, and when he had settled himself firmly, he gathered his garments about him, raised his head toward the sky, and said, ‘Al-ḥamdu lillāh (all praise belongs to Allah),’ adding nothing more. Someone questioned him about that, whereupon he replied, ‘What have I left out—or what have I held back? I have placed every kind of praise entirely with Allah.’”} df3妞d54 lइल馁
