854 — Abū Jafar Muhammad ibn Sālih ibn Dharīh al-Ukbarī narrated to us, saying: Hannād ibn al-Sarī narrated to us, saying: Sharīk narrated to us, from Abū Ishāq, from al-Barā—or from Abū Ubaydah—concerning the words of Allah, Glorious is His Majesty: “We shall certainly make them taste the lesser punishment before the greater punishment” [al-Sajdah: 21]. He said: “The punishment of the grave.”
