841 – Al-Firyābī narrated to us: Abū Bakr and ‘Uthmān, the two sons of Abī Shaybah, narrated to us; they said: Abū ‘Abd al-Rahmān al-Muqri’ narrated to us, from Sa‘īd ibn Abī Ayyūb, who said: I heard Darrāj Abū al-Samh say: I heard Abū al-Haytham say: I heard Abū Sa‘īd al-Khudrī say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Ninety-nine ⦗1275⦘ enormous serpents will be set upon the disbeliever in his grave, tearing at him and biting him until the Hour comes. If even one of them were to blow upon the earth, it would not grow a single green plant.”
٨٤١ - وَحَدَّثَنَا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , وَعُثْمَانُ ابْنَا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ دَرَّاجًا أَبَا السَّمْحِ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْهَيْثَمِ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «يُسَلَّطُ عَلَى الْكَافِرِ فِي قَبْرِهِ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ ⦗١٢٧٥⦘ تِنِّينًا تَنْهَشُهُ وَتَلْدَغُهُ , حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ , وَلَوْ أَنَّ تِنِّينًا مِنْهَا يَنْفُخُ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَا أَنْبَتَتْ خَضْرَاءَ»
