833 — Al-Firyābī also informed us, saying: Qutayba ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, from Mālik ibn Anas, from al-ʿAlāʾ ibn ʿAbd al-Rahmān, from his father, from Abū Hurayra: It was asked, “O Messenger of Allah, how will you recognize those of your nation who come after you?” He replied, “Tell me: if a man ⦗1264⦘ had horses with white blazes and white feet among jet-black horses without markings, would he not recognize his own horses?” They said, “Certainly, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “They will come on the Day of Resurrection with radiant faces and limbs from ablution, and I shall precede them at the Basin. Yet some men will surely be driven away from my Basin just as a stray camel is driven away.”
