832 — Al-Firyābī informed us, saying: ʿUthmān ibn Abī Shayba narrated to us, saying: Jarīr narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Abū Wāʾil, from ʿAbd Allāh, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “I shall precede you at the Basin. I shall certainly contend over some men from among you, yet I shall be overcome concerning them. Then it will be said, ‘You do not know what they introduced after you.’”
