822 — Abū Jafar Muhammad ibn Sālih ibn Dharīh al-Ukbarī informed us, saying: Hannād ibn al-Sarī narrated to us, saying: Abdah—meaning ibn Sulaymān—narrated to us, from Saīd ibn Abī Arūbah, from Qatādah, from Sālim ibn Abī al-Jad, from Madān ibn Abī Talhah al-Yamurī, from Thawbān, the freedman of the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—who said: The Messenger of Allah said, “I shall be at my Basin on the Day of Resurrection.” He said: The Prophet of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—was asked about the breadth of the Basin. He replied, “It is like the distance from where I am standing now to Amman.” Saīd said: The distance between them is a month’s journey, or thereabouts. The Prophet of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—was also asked about its drink. He replied, “It is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Two channels pour into it unceasingly from Paradise—or its replenishment comes from Paradise—one of silver and the other of gold.”
