819 — Abū Muhammad Abd Allāh ibn Muhammad ibn Nājiya informed us, saying: Abd Allāh ibn Umar ibn Abān al-Kūfī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, saying: Zakariyyā ibn Abī Zāʾida narrated to us, from Atiyya al-Awfī, who reported that Kaʿb al-Ahbār took al-Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) by the hand and said, “I am saving this for intercession.” He replied, “Is intercession granted to anyone but the prophets?” Or he said, “Will I have the right to intercede?” Kaʿb replied, “Yes. There is no member of a prophet’s household who will not be granted the right to intercede.”
