789 — Abū Bakr Jafar ibn Muhammad al-Firyābī narrated to us, saying: Yazīd ibn Khālid ibn Mawhab narrated to us, saying: Abd Allah ibn Wahb narrated to us, saying: Yūnus ibn Yazīd informed us, on the authority of Ibn Shihāb, that Amr ibn Sufyān al-Thaqafī informed him that Abū Hurayra said to Kab al-Ahbār: The Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Every prophet has a supplication that he may make. As for me, Allah willing, I wish to reserve my supplication as intercession for my nation on the Day of Resurrection.”
