786 — Abū Bakr Qāsim ibn Zakariyyā al-Mutarriz narrated to us, saying: Abū Kurayb Muhammad ibn al-Alā narrated to us, saying: Abū Muāwiya narrated to us. Al-Mutarriz also said: Yūsuf ibn Mūsā al-Qattān narrated to us, saying: Jarīr narrated to us. Both transmitted from al-Amash, from Abū Sālih, from Abū Hurayra, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Every prophet is granted a supplication that will be answered, and each prophet hastened to use his supplication. I, however, have reserved my supplication as intercession for my community until the Day of Resurrection. Allah willing, it will reach whoever dies without associating anything with Allah.”

This is the wording of Abū Muāwiya.
