776 — And al-Firyābī informed us: Muhammad ibn al-Muthannā narrated to us: Abd al-Malik ibn Amr narrated to us: Ibrāhīm ibn Tahmān narrated to us, from Atā ibn al-Sāib, from Mujāhid, from Ibn Abbās, concerning the saying of Allah—Glorious and Exalted is He—:
“Perhaps those who disbelieve will wish that they had been Muslims.” [al-Hijr: 2]
He said, “Mercy and intercession will not cease until it is said, ‘Every Muslim will surely enter Paradise.’” He said, “At that point, those who disbelieve will wish that they had been Muslims.”
Muhammad ibn al-Husayn said: The argument of whoever denies intercession is invalid. Woe to him if he does not repent! It has been narrated from Anas ibn Mālik that he said, “Whoever denies intercession shall have no share in it.”
