771 — Ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us: Alī ibn Sahl al-Ramlī narrated to us: al-Walīd ibn Muslim narrated to us, from Hammād ibn Salamah, from Abd al-Rahmān ibn al-Qāsim, from his father, from Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—who said: “The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—quoted this verse: ‘So they follow what is ambiguous in it’ [Āl Imrān: 7]. The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—then said, ‘Allah—Glorious and Exalted is He—has warned you. So when you see them, beware of them.’”
