74 — Al-Firyābī narrated to us: Wahb ibn Baqiyya al-Wāsitī narrated to us: Khālid—that is, ibn Abd Allāh al-Wāsitī—informed us, from Abd al-Rahmān ibn Ishāq, from al-Zuhrī, from Abū Salama, from Abū Hurayra, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Episodes of civil strife will arise like summer winds. The one sitting during them is better than the one standing, and the one standing is better than the one walking. Whoever looks toward them and exposes himself to them will be overtaken by them.”
