767 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd al-Sijistānī narrated to us, saying: Yūsuf ibn Mūsā al-Qattān informed us, saying: Jarīr narrated to us, from Ashath ibn Sawwār, from Ali ibn Zayd ibn Judān, from Yūsuf ibn Mihrān, from Ibn Abbās, who said: Umar ibn al-Khattāb—may Allah be pleased with him—said: “The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—carried out stoning, Abū Bakr carried out stoning, and I too carried out stoning. There will come people who deny stoning, the Basin, intercession, the punishment of the grave, and that some people will emerge from the Fire.”
