763 — Jafar ibn Muhammad al-Sandalī also narrated to us: Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us: Ubayd Allāh ibn Mūsā informed us, from Sufyān, from Hakīm ibn al-Daylam, from Abū Burdah, from Abū Mūsā, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood among us and delivered four statements. He said:
“Indeed, Allah Most High does not sleep, nor is it fitting for Him to sleep.”
He then mentioned the rest of the hadith.
