758 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn ‘Abbād ibn Adam narrated to us, saying: Bakr ibn Sulaymān al-Uswārī narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishāq, who said: I heard Muhammad ibn Ka‘b relate:
“Allah, Mighty and Majestic, touched nothing with His Hand except three things: Adam, peace be upon him; the Torah, which He wrote for Moses with His Hand; and Tūbā, a tree in Paradise that Allah planted with His Hand. There is no chamber in Paradise that does not contain one of its branches. It is the tree of which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: ‘Those who believe and perform righteous deeds—Tūbā is theirs, and an excellent return.’ [al-Ra‘d: 29]”
