746 — Al-Firyābī informed us, saying: Abū Anas Mālik ibn Sulaymān al-Himsī narrated to us, saying: Baqiyyah ibn al-Walīd narrated to us, from Artāh ibn al-Mundhir, from Mujāhid ibn Jabr, who related that it had reached him from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“The first thing Allah, Exalted and Majestic, created was the Pen. He took it in His right Hand—and both His Hands are right Hands.” He then related the hadith in the same manner through to its end.
