742 — Al-Firyābī narrated to us, saying: Qutaybah ibn Saīd narrated to us, saying: Al-Layth ibn Sad narrated to us, from Saīd ibn Abī Saīd, from Saīd ibn Yasār, who heard Abū Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “No one gives charity from wholesome earnings—and Allah accepts only what is wholesome—without the Most Merciful, Mighty and Majestic, taking it in His right hand. Even if it is a single date, it grows in the palm of the Most Merciful, Mighty and Majestic, until it becomes greater than a mountain, just as one of you raises his foal or his weaned camel calf.”
