736 — Abū Muslim Ibrāhīm ibn Abd Allah al-Kashshī informed us, saying: Alī ibn Abd Allah al-Madīnī narrated to us, saying: Jarīr ibn Abd al-Hamīd narrated to us, from Mansūr, from Ibrāhīm, from Ubayda, from Abd Allah—that is, Ibn Masūd—who said: A Jewish scholar came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and said, “On the Day of Resurrection, Allah, Glorious and Majestic, will place the heavens upon one finger, the earths upon one finger, the mountains upon one finger, and all created beings upon one finger. He will then shake them and say, ‘I am the King.’” Abd Allah said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) laugh until his molars became visible, affirming what the man had said. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) then recited:
“They did not appraise Allah with the appraisal due to Him. The whole earth will be in His grasp on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand.”
