732 — Abū Jaʿfar Muhammad ibn Sālih ibn Dharīh al-ʿUkbarī also narrated to us, saying: al-Haytham ibn Jannād al-Juhanī narrated to us, saying: Ibrāhīm ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Yazīd al-Raqāshī, from Anas, who said: The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) would frequently say, “O Allah, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.” One of his Companions asked him, “Do you fear for us, O Messenger of Allah, even though we have answered your call and believed you concerning what you have brought?” He replied, “Yes. The hearts lie between two fingers of the Most Merciful—Mighty and Majestic is He—and He turns them.”
