730 — Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad al-Sandalī also narrated to us, saying: Zuhayr ibn Muhammad al-Marwazī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Saʿīd al-Asbahānī narrated to us, saying: al-Walīd ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: I heard Sālim al-Khayyāt say, “I heard al-Hasan—more times than I can count ⦗1159⦘—relate from his mother that she said: I heard Umm Salama say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) say, ‘There is no heart but that it lies between two fingers of the Lord of the worlds. If He wills to keep it upright, He keeps it upright; and if He wills to cause it to deviate, He causes it to deviate.’”
