704 — Abū Bakr Qāsim ibn Zakariyyā al-Mutarriz also narrated to us, saying: al-Qāsim ibn Dīnār narrated to me, saying: Musʿab ibn al-Miqdām narrated to us, from Sufyān al-Thawrī, from Abū Ishāq, from al-Agharr Abū Muslim, from Abū Saʿīd and Abū Hurayra. He said: They both bore witness to this concerning their Prophet, stating that they had heard him say—or he said: I heard them both bear witness to this concerning the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace—that he said: “When the first third of the night has passed, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, descends to the lowest ⦗1135⦘ heaven and says: ‘Is there anyone seeking forgiveness? Is there anyone asking? Is there anyone supplicating?’”
