67 — Al-Firyābī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Muthannā narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Wahhāb—that is, al-Thaqafī—narrated to us, saying: I heard Yahyā ibn Saʿīd say: Ubāda ibn al-Walīd ibn Ubāda ibn al-Sāmit informed me that al-Walīd ibn Ubāda said: My father informed me, saying:
“We pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), undertaking to hear and obey in hardship and ease, whether reluctant or willing.”
He then related the same report.
